Why get a nervous system scan before adjusting?
Because two people with identical symptoms rarely have identical nervous systems, and a plan built on guesswork is a plan you cannot measure. Scanning first tells us where to work, how much force is appropriate, and what to expect.
It also catches the mismatch between how someone feels and what their body is doing. Plenty of patients arrive with no pain and a nervous system under real strain, and a few arrive in significant pain with far less dysfunction than they feared. What happens during the scan?
You sit or stand while a small handheld sensor is rolled down either side of your spine. Nothing enters the body, nothing hurts, and there is no radiation. Heart rate variability is captured with a finger or chest sensor over a couple of minutes of quiet breathing.
Your results come back as a set of graphs and scores that we walk through with you at your Report of Findings, alongside your history and any on-site digital imaging. If you would rather see the raw numbers than the summary, ask, and we will show you.
How often will you re-scan?
At each progress checkpoint in your plan, typically after a defined block of visits. Re-scanning is the part most practices skip, and it is the part that tells you whether your money is doing anything. Scans pair naturally with our chiropractic adjustments, since the findings decide the technique.
Why does Even Flow scan every patient?
Because a plan you cannot measure is a plan you cannot judge. Scanning at the start gives us a baseline, and re-scanning at each checkpoint tells all of us whether care is doing anything. It is the fastest way to stop wasting a patient money.
It also changes conversations. When someone can see their own thermography and heart rate variability, care stops being something that happens to them and becomes something they are following along with.

What does it cost?
Even Flow is a cash-based practice, which is a deliberate choice rather than an administrative one. Billing insurance directly means care gets shaped by what a benefits table will approve, and preventative work is usually the first thing that table refuses.
Your first visit is $111 and includes the consultation, the full scan set and imaging where appropriate. Ongoing costs are laid out in writing at your Report of Findings, before you commit to anything. HSA and FSA cards are accepted, and we provide the documentation you need to self-file with your insurer.
Frequently asked questions
Does the nervous system scan hurt?
Not at all. Nothing penetrates the skin and there is no heat or electrical current applied. Most people describe it as a sensor being rolled gently down the back.
Is there any radiation involved?
No. All three INSiGHT scans are completely radiation free. Digital X-rays are a separate service and only used when clinically appropriate.
How long does scanning take?
Around ten minutes for the full set, which is included in your $111 Discovery Visit alongside your consultation.
Can children and babies be scanned?
Yes. The scans are non-invasive and quick, which makes them well suited to children, and they give parents something concrete to look at rather than a verbal impression.
What if my scans come back normal?
That is genuinely good news and we will tell you plainly. If your nervous system is coping well and you have no complaints, you do not need a care plan, and we would rather say so than sell you one.
